I was inspired to write this post after a fun filled evening at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art in San Francisco. Every first Thursday there’s a Craft Bar where folks are invited to learn a new cool craft. Last Thursday night Diana Rupp showed us all how to turn a floral fabric scrap into a brand new necklace!
Anywhoo, crafting with a fabric scrap made me want to find other ways people around town have found to use their scraps.
Here are some of my favorite ways to use fabric scraps:
Make a Fabric Scrap Fox!
or how about a Business Card Holder?
Add a new necklace to your wardrobe…
hang some art on the walls, make a cupcake pin cushion, or keep your fingers cool while you cook.
You could also make a super cute fortune cookie wedding favor, a headband for those days you just want your hair to stay out of your face, or how about a bobby pin?
And, finally, turn those sad fabric scraps into cool and hip coasters.
Have fun!
Tell me, what’s your favorite way to use up your pile of fabric scraps?
